Sandra Milena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase new mesh netting, galvanized metal roofing, wood, and corn feed for her chickens.

Sandra Milena's story

Sandra is 32 years old and a resident of the municipality of Nemocón in the department of Cundinamarca. She lives with her three daughters, all minors, and her husband in this very place, where on her farm she keeps hens for laying "semicriollo" eggs which she sells among the other residents of the town.

She has one year of experience in this type of work with excellent results, and she wants to improve the conditions of her farm. For this reason she has requested a loan through Kiva, an opportunity to connect with the financial community through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, and buy new mesh netting, galvanized metal roofing, wood, and corn feed for her chickens.

This loan will ensure that her poultry has better living conditions and more space, and that she is able to house a greater quantity of birds, which will increase her production and therefore her profits.
