Irma Yolanda's story

Doña Irma, who is 62 years old, lives with her husband in their own house. She has been making and selling pupusas [thick, filled corn tortillas] for a number of years. Her business is located near her place of residence in a zone with a lot of traffic. She began with her own capital. With what she obtains from her sales, she manages to pay some of the household expenses.

She is applying for a loan to purchase fried pork rinds, fresh cheese, beans, corn, and other ingredients and thus be able to continue with her work, which generates good income for her.
