Arpenik's story

Arpenik is 27 years old and she lives with her with her husband and three children in Tsovagyugh village of the Gegharkunik region. Her daughters are already school-aged and her son is only a year old.

Arpenik is a farmer and, with her husband, she takes care of her not so small farm. She has cows, calves, heifers, bulls, a pig and chickens. Potato cultivation is also rather profitable for her family since this vegetable is very popular in this region and re-sellers buy right from the local farms. Arpenik also sells her farm’s milk, macun (national dairy-product), cheese, meat and eggs. She sells all these goods from her farm since the care of their children and house does not leave her any time to reach the city’s wholesale market for her to sell her farm produce.

Arpenik asks for this loan of 690,000 AMD as she decided increase her meat sales by purchasing two more calves. It will be very profitable for her farm. Also she wants to buy fodder for her farm cattle.
