Antonia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn, ears of corn, salt and firewood to make tamales, as well as clothing for both men and women.

Antonia's story

Antonia currently sells tamales and clothing. She prepares the tamales in her home and then sells them at the city market. She works every day. She has a partner and two children ages 21 and 20. The children work. She notes that she does not receive any funds from family abroad to help her get ahead.

She is asking for a loan in order to increase her capacity to fulfill customer requests. She will use the loan to buy corn, ears of corn, salt and firewood. This will give her more resources for preparing her tamales for sale. In addition, she will invest in clothing for both sexes. She hopes to be prepared for the Christmas and New Year seasons, since during the holidays sales tend to increase.

Her vision is to improve her family's quality of life and to pay off her debt.
