At the entrance of her gate a visitor is greeted by the aroma such that one is forgiven for suggesting that Matilda of Great Heights does not need an air freshener, as the air circulating around her house is always sweetened by her baking.

Matilda is a married mother of 2 children, who resides in Dzivaresekwa Extension in Harare the capital of Zimbabwe. She and her 3 group members named themselves Great Heights, because they have envisioned elevating themselves in business to bigger and better levels after being given a loan. Clad in her white baking overalls and her head covered for hygiene purposes Matilda begins her typical day. Her main ingredients are flour, margarine or cooking oil, eggs, flavoring and sometimes fruits depending on the product being baked that particular day. In the process Matilda adds different forms of icing and other small decorating items like “hundreds and thousands”.
