Marcelline is a retailer and president of the loan association "Gloire de Dieu" ["Glory of God"], a client of a microfinance institute called Hekima. She is a 60-year-old married woman and the mother of four children, three of whom are married and one who is a student. For the past 18 years, she has been running a store in the city that sells a variety of household items and clothing. The loan will be used to purchase television sets, chairs, receptor radios, pagnes [traditional Central and West African garment], shirts, trousers and more. Her husband financed the launch of her business. She wishes to build a house and increase her capital. She thanks Hekima for proving support to non-bankable entrepreneurs.
