A loan helped to buy birds and sell them in his shop.

Khodr's story

Khodr is the proud owner of a birds shop located in a Palestinian refugee camp in North Lebanon. He lives in the same camp with his wife, a school teacher, his mother and his sister.

In his shop, Khodr has been selling birds, fish, cages and other related accessories since 2000. His shop is located in a very popular street of the camp, which allows him to attract lots of clients of all ages. In fact, kids love to pass by his shop and watch the birds and fish.

Khodr is asking for a 4,522,823 Lebanese pounds (LBP) loan for the first time from Kiva partner Ibdaa. He needs the loan to buy birds and accessories and sell them in his shop. Khodr is expecting an increase in demand for the upcoming weeks and needs to have enough supply in order to avoid shortage. The loan will therefore help him maintain a good business performance and a stable income.
