A loan helped to buy new fruit trees and fertilizers for the vegetables.
Oktay is a 20-year-old IDP from the Bilasuvar region. He is single and living with his family; he has 1 brother and 2 sisters. He likes to help his old retired mother and father who are living together in a refugee settlement. He grows some vegetables and fruits in the yard. He loves this job. Oktay, with the support of his family and his wife especially, is running quite a successful farming business. His wife is a school teacher but helps him with great passion. He has more than 5 years of experience. To manage the farm, he relies on his children's support as well: they help him with watering, cleaning the yard, and other related tasks. They support each other very well. Oktay is running the farm with great passion and love because he wants to take care of his family. Oktay sells the natural fruits and vegetables in the local market. In Azerbaijan, there is a great demand for vegetables to make traditional foods like dolma, bozbash and also the fruits for after dinner deserts. He is currently planning to expand the business. He requires 1,200 AZN to buy new fruit trees and fertilizers for the vegetables. He hopes that Kiva lenders will support him.
