Melinda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy commodities for her store, such as spices, eggs, cooking oil, noodles, canned goods, snack foods and drinks; she'll also buy new fishing nets and a fishing boat engine.

Melinda's story

Melinda is a 49-year-old woman who lives a simple life with her family in a town of Estancia in Iloilo, Philippines. Her husband is a fisherman, while Melinda is running a sari-sari (variety) store business. She and her husband work hard to sustain themselves every day and to support their children. They have two children: one adult and one school-aged child.

She is asking for a loan to improve their livelihood and augment their earnings. Thus, she will use the money to buy commodities for her store, such as spices, eggs, cooking oil, noodles, canned goods, snack foods and drinks. Aside from this, she will also buy new fishing nets and a fishing boat engine.

In this way, she and her husband will be able to improve their sales and their profit as well.
