Humu is a 37-year-old married woman and a mother of 4 kids, all of whom attend school. She lives in Saabon- Zongo in the upper east region of Ghana.
Humu is a member of a women's group called ‘Mungoode Allah, Saabon-Zongo’, which means ‘We thank God’ group of Saabon-Zongo. Humu is the individual pictured standing first from the left holding a hand bag. She has been in the business of food selling for the past five years.
Humu and her group are challenged with capital inadequacy and have therefore requested a loan of GHC 20,500. Humu needs GHC 600. out of the whole amount to buy food stuff for her food selling business. She wants to get a good income to pay back this loan and support her kids with their basic needs.
Humu dreams to grow her business into a restaurant and also employ several people to work with her. The livelihood of Humu’s family depends on her business. She wants to give the family a dignified life by working hard with the support of Grameen Ghana and Kiva partnership. She is really grateful and thanks Kiva lenders for the support.
