Kavumbi's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase stocks of goods like sugar, rice, maize and wheat flours, and cooking oil.

Kavumbi's story

Kavumbi is married and has seven children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.

For the past ten years, she has owned a food stall, and her customers are her neighbors and town dwellers. She faces a major challenge of fluctuations in the number of clients, which can mean the loss of perishable goods.

With the requested loan of KES 50,000, Kavumbi wants to purchase stocks of goods like sugar, rice, maize and wheat flours, and cooking oil. She dreams of expanding her business into a modern café.
