but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy three sacs of groundnuts and two sacs of millet.

Fatou Abdou's Group's story

Newly established in October 2015, this banc villageois is made up of village women who joined the program to make their small businesses more profitable. They also work doing rain-fed agriculture. The group shares a good ambiance.

Fatou Abdou, who is 48 years old and standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised, is the featured borrower of the group. She is married and the mother of three children. She works in agriculture and in retail.

With this new loan, she plans to buy three sacs of groundnuts and two sacs of millet in the village, which she will resell at retail in the weekly markets.

With her earnings, Fatou Abdou plans to help her husband take care of their children and the daily expenses.
