Ndiague's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 2 steers, 5 basins of sorrel, 20 kilograms of millet, 25 kilograms of beans.

Ndiague's Group's story

This three-member group is a part of the 'banc villageois' that was created in November 2009. It groups together very supportive and very energetic women who engage primarily in commerce and raising livestock. The group meetings have a positive atmosphere.

Fatou, standing on the right side of the photo with her left hand raised, is the star borrower of the group. She is 44 years old. She is married and has six children, three boys and three girls. She raises livestock and, at the same time, sells millet, beans, and sorrel.

With this loan, she intends to buy two steers at 100,000 francs apiece at the local market. She also intends to buy 50,000 francs worth of livestock feed. At the same time, she intends to sell millet, sorrel and beans weekly at the same market. She is going to buy 5 basins of sorrel, 25 kilograms of beans, and 20 kilograms of millet that she will resell.

On the one hand, the profits will serve to strengthen her savings with the 'banc villageois' and on the other, to participate in life insurance.
