Sokhom's Group's story

Sokhom, 41, is a farmer living in a rural area of Tbaung Khmum province and she has two children, one of whom is in school and needs her to support on education. To support her living, she has been selling grocery items as the main source of income for ages. Meanwhile, her husband has been a soldier and growing rubber to get additional income to improve the living as well. Her business is getting not well since the price of grocery items is increased in market, so that she could gain lower profits than before.

Now, she is leading a two-member group to take a loan to save her business and this is the first time for her with VisionFund. For this loan portion, she will use it to buy more grocery items for resale and organic fertilizers to enhance the productivity of crop. She hopes to earn more income and allow her to expand her current business to improve her lifestyle.
