Eliana Junior School's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a water-filtration system to provide clean drinking water to its students.

Eliana Junior School's story

Grace is directs the Eliana Junior School, which is located in Kampala and has 700 students. The school has requested a loan to cover the cost of installing and maintaining a UV water filtration system to provide clean drinking water to its students. The school does not currently have consistent access to clean water and therefore has to spend a considerable part of its budget on firewood to boil water for the children to drink. Installing a water-filtration system will save the school money and give it a tank big enough to store clean drinking water for the students every day.

The school will repay the loan from fees, which it collects each term. Grace hopes that having access to safe drinking water will improve her student’s concentration and attendance by reducing the number of children who fall sick from water-borne diseases. She also hopes this will also increase the number of students coming to the school.
