Bente's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy 15 handbags, 10 pairs of shoes, three bottles of palm oil, and various cosmetics for resale, on a retail basis, in her neighborhood.
Bente's Group's story
This group was created in September 2013 during the inauguration of the Banc Villageois. It is made up of women who, for the most part, have acquired a good deal of experience in small retail business, which happens to be their main activity. Bente (seated at the far right in the photo and raising her hand) is the group's featured borrower. She is single, 27 years old, and she has two young girls under her care. She buys and sells shoes, handbags, bags of palm oil, and other cosmetics for women. Thanks to this new loan, she will be able to buy 15 handbags, 10 pairs of shoes, three 20-liter bottles of palm oil, and various cosmetics. She will resell her goods on a retail basis, in her neighborhood. She will use her profits to boost her small business and to pay for her children's education.
