Bineta's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy a sheep and 30 kg of black beans.
Bineta's Group's story
This group is composed of 21 members and belongs to a banc villageois launched in February of 2014. Its members are women living in the same village who maintain a spirit of friendship and solidarity. They work raising livestock. Satou, the one standing on the left in the photo raising her right hand is the star borrower. She is 45 years old. Satou is married and has five children: three daughters and two sons. She raises livestock and sells "niebe" [a type of black bean]. With her loan, Satou plans to buy a sheep for 40,000 West African francs to fatten up and resell for 60,000 francs. She will also buy 30 kg of "niebe" beans at 250 francs per kg, and resell at 400 francs. She will use the rest of her loan to buy animal fodder. Her revenues will allow her to grow her savings and provide for family needs.
