Amparo Lucia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy new pots, rice and sugar by the quintal [approximately 100 pounds].

Amparo Lucia's story

Amparo is 44 years old. She is a single mother of two children, Cristian who is 18 and Alexis who is 15. They both go to school in the education centers in the area. Amaro began to work at age 15, selling flavored shaved ice in the streets of the city. Little by little she was able to rent a stand in the terminal to sell prepared food. Every day she gets up at two in the morning to cook potatoes, rice, vegetables, meats, and aromatic coffees. This small business has been the only source of income with which to feed and educate her children.

Amaro needs the money to buy new pots, rice, and sugar by the quintal [approximately 100 pounds], as it is more costly by the kilo. She will obtain greater income to continue covering her household expenses. Her greatest aspiration is that her children study and succeed.
