Rusudani's story

Rusudani is 57 years old widow, from Tkibuli district. She lives alone and earns a living with small trading business with clothing. She was unable to start any stable job, as the high unemployment rate in the region. For increasing her business income and more effectively meet the daily costs, Rusudani decided to make another source of income.

The Start Up program created by Kiva and Credo enabled Rusudani to get a loan of 900 USD. She will purchase all necessary tools and have money for working capitals to open a bakery locally. Rusudani thinks that the business will be profitable, as it is in great location and the only business of this kind in the area. After the bakery is opened, the she will have a stable income which enables Rusudani to cover everyday costs as well as expand the business in future.

With support of the Start Up program her income will significantly increase and Rusudani will make better living condition for herself.
