Filipinas's story

Filipinas is a determined woman. She is 65 years old and lives with her family in the town of Ajuy in Iloilo. She is a mother of six adult children and raised them through buying and selling dried fish. In addition to this, she also owns a sari-sari (variety) store. Her husband is a fisherman and still working for their family.

Filipinas is asking for a loan to buy dried fish to sell. She will also buy basic grocery items such as sugar, coffee, toiletries, spices, canned goods, noodles, chips, candies and biscuits to enhance her sales. Thus, she dreams to improve their livelihood for their future needs so that when they get old and unable to go to work she will have already saved enough money.
