Nurian Amparo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in equipment maintenance and stock up on notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, card stock, markers, etc.

Nurian Amparo's story

Nurian is a small-business owner residing in the city of Bogotá with her spouse. She has learned how to balance her housework, her role as a mother of two, and her work. She is able to take on each of these responsibilities in order to improve her family's quality of life.

She started her business when a teacher at the school where she used to work offered her an office-supplies shop she owned. She took the opportunity and accepted. She has been running the store for thirteen years now with very positive results.

Her business is open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm every day of the week. Her customers are students from the school, as well as people in the neighborhood who need photocopies. She also processes money transfers and sells office supplies and novelty items.

Nurian is requesting a loan from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, which is her first Kiva loan. She will invest it in equipment maintenance, and use whatever is left over to buy notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, cardstock paper, markers, and other merchandise. Her long-term goal is to maintain her customers' loyalty and, on a personal level, to see her children prosper.
