Ahmad's story

Ahmad, a young Palestinian man, lives alone in a refugee camp located in North Lebanon. He works as a painter and interior decorator. He started working as an apprentice in the construction field 13 years ago when he was just 14, until he decided to start his own business and work on his own in 2010.

Although his is only 27 years old, Ahmad is well known in the area for his honesty, professionalism and good taste. Also, the success of his business allows him to support his parents financially as they both stopped working.

In order to develop his business and increase his income, he decided to ask for a loan of 1,543,992 LBP for the first time from Kiva's partner, Ibdaa. He believes that with this loan he will be able to take on more projects and improve the quality of his work. In fact, he will be able to buy quality supplies of gypsum that he needs for his projects.
