Shidaa Aha Yehowa Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy groceries at wholesale; she will acquire these at the market in the city of Accra.

Shidaa Aha Yehowa Group's story

The Shidaa Aha Yehowa group is starting their ninth loan cycle with ID-Ghana, as part of their loan procedure at the branch. The group is made up of six members, represented by Mayfair. The businesses that the members carry out are varied. Amongst them are: the sale of groceries, foodstuffs, slippers, rubber bowls, cloth, phone recharge cards, and general goods.

The loan they are taking out will benefit these micro-entrepreneurs. Mayfair is one of them. She indicated that she became a member of the group five years ago, joining on the invitation of a friend. She currently has a business selling groceries. She says she learned the business from her friend and started it more than eight years ago. She moves from house to house to sell to customers.

The loan that she is now taking out is to increase her capital for buying groceries at wholesale, which she will acquire at the market in the city of Accra. This form of work allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, as she is a single mum of three children.

When asked what she likes about ID-Ghana, she replied that she likes the health and savings services that the institution offers.
