Odo Kuw Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cassava, fish, meat, flour, and other ingredients to prepare local dishes to sell to customers.

Odo Kuw Group's story

Sarah is a 43 year old woman. She is from Apam in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region of Ghana. Sarah is the group representative of Odo Kuw. She is married with 3 children. All her 3 children are in school. Sarah is a food vendor who prepares variety of local dishes such as fufu with soup, banku (corn dough) with pepper and fried fish and emotuo (rice balls) with soup. She has been in this business for 14 years.

Sarah has been a client of the Field Partner since 2012 to grow her business to the current level through micro loan support. She has been committed to her repayment obligations with all her previous loans. Sarah has 3 employees who assist her in the smooth running of the bar. Many customers prefer to patronize her bar for food due to her good customer service, so there is a high demand for her services.

Sarah needs additional working capital support to buy meat, fish, and other ingredients in bulk to prepare more food to meet her customer’s demands. She will invest the current loan into her business which will boost her sales. This will inspire her to save more to secure a brighter future for the family. Sarah and her group members are grateful to all their Kiva micro lenders for their generosity.
