Edgar Leonel's story

Edgar Leonel is married to Rosario Nairy, with whom he has a 3 month old baby. Edgar Leonel makes a living in agriculture, particularly in coffee and vegetable production. He short term goal is to diversify his income streams, and not rely solely on coffee sales, as he currently does.

Edgar wants to start a business producing organic tomatoes in greenhouses, which he will market through COCAFCAL of which he is a partner. This project is very innovative as the tomato crop makes very good profits in addition to helping people grow part of their food.

Currently Edgar is apply for a loan to begin work in his greenhouse and thus start production as soon as possible. With the proceeds from his harvest Edgar expects to have revenues to start saving for his daughter's education, and also to start a savings account for his family.

A loan would help Edgar diversify his income and not depend entirely on his coffee business, thus ensuring that his family will always be provided for.
