Light Solidarity Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more three bales of slippers for her business.

Light Solidarity Group's story

Fatu is a member of Light Solidarity Group (see group picture; Fatu stands second from the right). She sells slippers. Fatu has been selling slippers for the past 30 years. She uses the proceeds from her business to pay for her child’s education and to provide a livelihood for her family. She has been able to buy a piece of land from savings she made from her business.

Fatu and the other group members of Light Solidarity Group are requesting their first loan. Fatu and her group members are in need of a loan of 5,000,000 SLL. Of this amount, Fatu will personally receive 1,000,000 SLL, which she will use to purchase three more bales of slippers for her business.

Fatu is 36 years old, married, and has one child, age 15 years old. Fatu hopes that her business will continue to exist so that she can save enough money to build a dwelling house and educate her child well.

Fatu and her group members thank you for financing their businesses.
