Guillermina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock her cooler with drinks like beer, soft drinks, and juices bought for wholesale.

Guillermina's story

Guillermina, age 60, is a small businesswoman who lives in a neighborhood in the Barranquilla municipality. She has her husband's support, and he suggested that she understake this business from the comfort of her home. In 2013 she got a cooler for the drinks and soft drinks that she sells to the residents in the area. In addition to this commercial activity, she makes clothes. This is an art she learned when she was very young, and she practices it with very good results.

Guillermina is very energetic, in spite of her advanced age. Her age does not prevent her from being able to be vigilant with her businesses every day of the week. She is ready to tend to her customers from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

In the coming season sales increase, and she needs to be prepared with more stock of products. That is why she is applying for a loan. This is her first Kiva loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. The loan is to stock her cooler with drinks like beer, soft drinks, and juices that she will buy wholesale.

Her goal for the future is to open a place and to remodel her house.
