Cariñositas Group's story

Lending institution: Cariñositas is in its first loan cycle, maD. up of 11 people. Its President is Mrs. Elizabeth J. M., its treasurer is Sandra E. P. J. and its secretary is Elena Y. Malale. The group participates in a variety of economic endeavors, such as sales of cosmetics, food, groceries, and clothing. These are the activities for which they need working capital. They are working with Emprender because, with the loans they receive they increase their earnings. The women enjoy getting together to share with their friends and neighbors every two weeks.

Mrs. Elizabeth J. is the group's President, and this is her first cycle with this responsibility. She has been selling groceries for three years. She works 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. Her work requires a little extra capital, and her goal is to increase that capital to be able to stock her store up better and invest in buying more staple goods.

Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth P. J. is the group's Treasurer and works in a clinic. She has been working there for three years. Her goal is to continue with her work, and obtain a larger loan to be able to invest in her own business, which will consist of purhcasing cell phones and have her own business in a popular public market.

Mrs. Elena Y. Malale is the group's Secretary, and has her own phone center, which she has been doign for three years. Her job consists mainly of attending to costumers who go to make calls at her center. Her goal is to be able to open up another of these centers to increase her income.
