Carmelita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase feeds, pigs, farm supplies such as fertilizers, and materials such as bamboo.

Carmelita's story

Carmelita is 43 years old, married, and has five children, two of whom attend school. She lives in the rural town of Getafe, Bohol. She raises and sells hogs. In addition, she owns rice paddies and grows rice. During her leisure time, she makes hand-woven bamboo crap traps, which she also sells.

Carmelita requested a loan from CEVI, which she will use to buy feeds, pigs, farm supplies such as fertilizers, and materials such as bamboo for crab traps. With the loan, her income will improve and enable her to repay the loan. She will continue to send her children to school and provide healthy diets. In the future, she hopes to expand her livelihood by increasing the number of pigs she raises.
