Susanna's story

Susanna is 61 years old and she lives with her smallest son in Kapan city of the Syunik region. Susanna’s elder son is married and he lives with his family separately. Susanna has a vocational medical education and has already worked for 30 years at the city’s hospital as a nurse. At the same time, Susanna with great pleasure takes care of her vegetable and fruit garden. She cultivates potatoes, beans, cucumbers and peppers. Her fruit garden is also very nice as she has apple, plum, fig and mulberry trees. She sells all these goods right from her house and also uses them for her family, wisely placing them in her pantry so that during all the winter period she can provide her family with fresh and sweet fruits from her garden. Susanna likes her fruit and vegetable garden very much. It is where she works, rests and dreams. Her smallest son already promised her that he will surely continue his mother’s beloved occupation and make their garden bigger and richer with the harvest. With this loan of 700,000 Armenian drams, Susanna wants to buy diesel fuel, fertilizer, seedlings and also young trees of persimmon and apple.
