Konba Pou Lavi Miyo's story

Miliette is the leader of a rural group in Carrefour, a poor neighborhood in Port-au-Prince. She is 38 years old. After repaying their first loan in Zafen, Miliette's group has saved up to 10%. When compared to the rural population that is about 80% lacking sufficient subsistence to satisfy their basic needs, Miliette is hopeful. For instance, her group now is connected to a financial institution and they are able to benefit from other relevant services to ease their situation.

Pictured with Dieudonne (middle) and Leonne(right), Miliette is looking for another loan to buy used clothes in bulk to sell. The benefits will help her to do two things: generate income to take care of her dependents and increase her savings while participating in the progress of her group.
