Salimatou's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy one bag of flour per week; four bags of sugar; five bags of charcoal; and other supplies for preparing fritters.

Salimatou's Group's story

This group has been created in January 2004 and is composed of women who have experience with the loan program. They mainly work as vendors. Ms. Salimatou (the one seated on the far right raising her hand) is the star borrower of the group. She is married and has three sons and two daughters. She sells fritters. With this new loan, Salimatou plans to buy one bag of flour at 19,000 West African francs per week, four bags of sugar at 20,000 francs, five bags of coal at 1,250 francs; and other supplies she needs to restock in order to prepare her fritters. Thanks to her revenues, she plans to take care of her children and improve their quality of life.
