A loan helped to purchase sheep to resell later.

Amatigue Group's story

Aminata is the woman holding the ram’s horns in the photo. She is Malian, 49 years old, illiterate, married, and the mother of three children aged 17 to 22 years old, of whom one is in school. Aminata is a livestock farmer of sheep. She has turned to loans from RMCR to purchase some sheep. She raises them, then resells them for cash at the fairs in the different nearby towns and often to retailers at home. She is often confronted with certain problems, drops in sales and animal illnesses. But she generally finds the solution with certain livestock farmers in the village. She has twenty years of experience.

Aminata’s wish for the future is to grow her enterprise by purchasing many rams and earning more profit to cover all the various family expenses, mainly the costs of healthcare, food, and schooling.
