Amy's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy a few ewes to fatten up and resell.
Amy's Group's story
This group, created during the first cycle of the Banc Villageois, consists of women who all come from the same village and who enjoy friendly neighbourly relations. Astou is the group's representative. She is 44 years old, married, and the mother of five children (three boys and two girls) who all go to school. Astou buys and sells ewes. She will use her new loan of 300,000 CFA francs to buy a few ewes for fattening and resale at the local markets. Astou has a great deal of experience in her field of work because she's been involved in this activity for a long time. Thanks to her profits, she is able to cover the costs associated with her husband's medical treatment (as he is currently ill), and she also pays her children's school fees and school supplies.
