Farida's story

Farida is 49 years old, married, with three kids. She has completed secondary education. She is making her living from agriculture. Farida owns a dairy cow, three sheep, and a land lot of 0.25 ha. Farida cultivates potatoes, corn and onion. She also grows persimmon, apples, and potherb for sale on the local market. Her monthly income is about 9,000 som (KGS). Farida requested a loan of 30,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank to buy seeds of potato and fertilizers for land and organic product cultivation, as well as to purchase several sheep. She is going to reinvest the income gained from the loan to further develop her business.
