A loan helped to buy calves.

Rosa Marìa's story

Rosa is 31 years old. She is married. Her husband is a labourer. The couple has two daughters - eight-year-old Paola, who is studying at a local free school, and Belen, who is three years old, and stays at home with her mother.

Rosa has been working raising cattle for ten years. Every day she gets up at 4am in order to feed her calves. She then goes out to look for work as a labourer in order to try to bring home an income. The income that Rosa's husband earns is not enough to support the household.

Rosa needs this loan in order to buy two calves and look after them until they grow up to be cows.

Rosa wants to sell milk and earn an additional income to help pay for food and education for her children and to remain by their sides.
