Fabiola's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in a bigger supply of cold meats and to buy supplies for preparing pastries.

Fabiola's story

Fabiola is a housewife who found a way to offer wellbeing to her family through her business project. This enterprising 34-year-old woman lives in the Arjona neighborhood in the Bolívar municipality and decided to follow the advice of a friend who suggested that she sell cold meats to her neighbors. With scarce capital, she initiated her dream of prosperity and bought a variety of cold meats: ham, sausages, and bologna, which she provided to her customers to pay off her debts in comfortable installments. Success came quickly, now her offering of food has increased to incorporate a new product: pastries that her mother makes with rice, pork meat, chicken, and vegetables, which she sells every weekend on demand. Now she is applying for a Kiva credit, the first financing that the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation has made, to invest in a bigger supply of cold meats and to buy supplies to prepare the pastries. That way she will increase her sales and with that her profits. Fabiola is the mother of two daughters who are 14 and 9 years old, and her husband helps with his commercial labor. Her future goal is to grow her client base and sell other projects like silver jewelry because she knows about that business.
