Kutesa Group's story

Kutesa group is in its third loan cycle of the Women's Committee programme, which is where all the women work to be successful. They are taking part in the scheme to eliminate poverty, where the members are improving their quality of life to get above the poverty line. One of the members of this group is Saidat, who sells local foods that she makes herself. The food she makes is very good and this is why she is doing so well and has a lot of customers. She says that with her humble source of income she has the means to be able to give her family a dignified life. She is asking for this loan so that she can buy ingredients to be able to continue selling her food, such as: vegetables, meat, rice, corn flour chicken and other goods. Through this she will be able to keep delighting her customers with the delicacies that she makes. She and the group members appreciate the services of the kiva lenders.
