Elena's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy llama wool wholesale to make blankets.

Elena's story

Elena is 46, married, has one 10-year-old son, and her business is making blankets.

She is a good mother, independent, and very enterprising. Her business is in the recently developed "Pedregal" area on the south side of the city.

She is dark skinned with braided hair and she wears traditional clothing (hat, blanket, and skirt). Her mother tongue is Aymará and she speaks Spanish. She shares her life with her son, who is in school. They live in their own adobe home, which has all the basic utilities. Her business is making wool blankets; she buys sheep, llama, and alpaca wools to make artisanal loomed blankets: "I started this work because my friends encourage me to and they were my first customers," she tells us. The good thing about her business is that her sales are constant, the problem is a lack of capital to buy wool wholesale. Her dream is to open a weaving workshop. She wants to buy different kinds of wool wholesale to make blankets. This is her first loan cycle with the institution in her 8 years of doing business.

For these reasons Elena is requesting a loan to buy llama wool wholesale to make blankets.
