Dogole Group's story
Mama Ogoyère is the one holding the lamb’s horn in the photo. She is from Mali, illiterate, 40 years old, married and the mother of eight children, four of whom are in school. Mama Ogoyère has been raising a sheep for 20 years. She is seeking a loan from RMCR in order to buy more sheep, fatten them and later resell. She stocks up at the regular market of her village and resells in town and sometimes in the neighboring country Côte d'Ivoire. Her revenues will allow her to take care of certain household expenses, such as school fees for her children, clothing, healthcare and food). Mama Ogoyère often has difficulties transporting her livestock for sale, but turns for help to neighbors providing such services. Her goal is to keep taking out more loans in order to expand her sales volume and buy cattle, as well as to be able to provide for her children, jointly with her husband.
