Sit Kone Village Group's story

Thein, featured borrower, lives at Sit Kone Village. He is married and has three children, all of them are students. He spends everyday farming in the paddy field and sometimes, when he needs a hand. mostly during harvest months, his wife helps him. The couple raise ducks, to sell duck eggs. He also has pigs for savings.

Proximity's loan will help Thein's family purchase high quality feeds and vaccines; to be healthy and productive. Thein, as a parent, wants his children to be schooled till graduation and have enough finances to cover the family's living cost.

This loan will help 19 members, purchase ducks and high quality feeds. Duck raising has recently become very popular in Myanmar and a way to boost income in rural areas. Ducks growers work very carefully to be kind with their ducks, as it effects the egg production rate.
