Rafaela Isabel's story
Rafaela is a woman with much desire to get ahead. At 51 years of age, she continues to work. Half the time she works as a cook in a cafeteria and in the afternoons she sells clothing and cosmetic products, a business she started ten years ago with her own money. Rafaela lives in the Memorial Sandino neighborhood in the capital of Managua with her two children who are 19 and 15 years old. Both are students. Her desire is to be able to establish her own business in her home, as opposed to on foot. This is her fourth loan with Afodenic, which has been beneficial to her development and the source of growth of her inventory. With this loan, she is going to purchase cosmetics and perfumes to offer variety to her customers. In the future, she wants to be able to improve the infrastructure of her home so that that her children are comfortable.
