Chamroen's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizers for her farmland and use a portion of it to spend for labor.

Chamroen's Group's story

Originally from a rural village of the Phnom Proek district where crop farming is a common way to earn a living, Chamroen, 37, is married with two children. She and her husband grow cassava as the main business for the family’s income. Having been in the business for five years, they can earn about US $10 per day to respond to the family’s needs and manage to save about US $5. The lack of working capital for operating her business is the main challenge for her.

Chamroen has never been with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund, before. Now she is leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, she will use her portion to buy fertilizers for her farm land and use a portion of it to spend for labor. She hopes to increase crop yields to earn a larger income so as to better her family’s living condition.
