Mariama Binta's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 1 x 10kg sack of detergent and 2 x 20 litre drums of honey, and pay for transportation.

Mariama Binta's Group's story

This group was created on 14th December 2012 and is a close-knit group. The women live in the same village and are very supportive of one another. They all work in commerce.

Mariama (standing on the far right with her hand raised) is the group representative. She is a widow and has six children (three girls and three boys). She sells Omo washing powder and honey. Her loan will buy a ten kilo sack of detergent for 7,500 francs CFA and two drums (each of twenty litres) of honey for 40,000 francs CFA. It will also pay total transportation costs of 12,000 francs CFA. Mariama then retails her products in her village.

Mariama will use her profits to pay for schooling for her children.
