Aissata's Group's story

This group, which was set up in August 2015, is made up of members who live in the same district and who all have small trading activities.

Bintou, who is on the far right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 33 years old, married and mother to two children, one of whom is a boy. She has an activity selling fruit and gets her supplies at the central market to resell in her town. Her loan will be used to buy bananas, oranges and mangoes. The profit she makes will be used to buy food, as well as to cover her children's health costs and schooling.
