A loan helped Purchase of medicines for re-sale and pig feed.

Chia Anna's story

Anna is a mother of six children who runs a pharmacy and raises pigs. She lives in Ntasen, outside of GHAPE headquarters, where she has her pharmacy. She will use this loan to purchase medicine, poultry vaccines, and feed for her pigs.

This is Anna’s fourth loan from GHAPE since she became a beneficiary in 2003. This loan will not only help the community to have a convenient store, but it will help sustain her pharmacy, which gives them access to medical supplies and health care. Anna thinks her business is likely to succeed because she understands her business well and sees that her store is very popular, for its location is advantageous.

With her last loan, Anna was able to help pay her children’s school fees. She will use the profits from this loan to do the same. She will also use the profits for maintaining repairs on her house. She prefers GHAPE loans because of the education they provide her with.
