Los Vencedores Group's story

Nelly is a 40-year-old woman, single with 2 children who are 12 and 13 years old. Her business is selling party supplies and snacks.

She is proactive, a good mother and a very responsible person. Her business is located in the first circle (1er anillo), an area notable for being located in the center of the city, and very commercial.

Nelly is dark and not very tall, with long black hair. Her native language is guaraní and she speaks Spanish (seated on the left with a sky blue T-shirt). She shares her life with her children, who are in school. They live in a rented room made of bricks and cement, that has all the basic services.

Based on the need to earn a better income, she formed a loan group with other people who run businesses: food stall, shoe salesman, electric appliance workshop, natural medicine sales, second-hand clothing sales, a corner shop and an Internet cafe, in order to request a loan and improve their businesses.

Her business sells party supplies such as; piñatas, balloons, dolls, paper plates and goblets, among others, “I sell some things that are brought from other countries, and others that I make myself..." she says. The advantage of her business is that there are constantly birthday parties; the disadvantage is the lack of capital to buy supplies such as cardboard, construction paper, tape, paper, glue, etc.

Her dream is to have her own selling stall. She wants to buy supplies to make party favors. This is the first loan cycle with our institution, in the 2 years she has been running this business.

For these reasons Nelly is requesting a loan to buy raw materials she will use to make party supplies and favors.
