Audrey's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped To receive and sell 100 units of BrightBox to both rural and urban end-users in Kenya.

Audrey's story

Audrey, pictured above, is a young entrepreneur who is excited to grow her sales of BrightBox, One Degree Solar’s solar energy kit that powers lights, phones, and radios. She is 24 years old and lives with her family which includes 7 sisters.

Audrey has a degree in sales and marketing and is eager to apply this knowledge to sell BrightBox to as many end-users as possible. She seeks support from Kiva's lenders to make this happen.

Through a Kiva loan, Audrey will be able to purchase 100 solar kits, which will allow her to increase her inventory to serve more customers and scale the exposure of BrightBox to many communities. Customers will be able to collect BrightBox systems immediately and pay for them upfront or over several months. Since they are currently spending money on polluting, unsafe, and inefficient energy, most will save enough to recoup costs in 4 to 5 months and never worry about fuel or fire again.

Audrey's long-term goal is to continue to receive inventory from One Degree Solar and be a consistent re-seller of BrightBox. With your help, Audrey will help families eliminate energy expenses, improve safety, and allow their children to read into the night.
