Hla, from Ka Dar Village Group, is 41 years old and lives with her family of seven. She has two children, studying on primary and secondary educations. The parents want their children to be well educated and have a better future. She takes care of house chores and does tailoring in her village while her husband farms and looks after the livestock. The loan will help the family purchase duck food and other farming necessities. They have many years of duck raising experience and hope their businesses flows smoothly. This loan will help other members purchase ducks and vaccines which will make the ducks healthy and more productive. Ka Dar Village is located in Myanmar’s Ayeyarwaddy River Delta region. Besides duck farming, villagers fish, do tailoring and agricultural production as businesses. Most households raise animals as livestock or business.
