Anna's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seedlings, fertilizer and pesticide and to install irrigation pipes.

Anna's story

Anna is married to an electrician. She has no children of her own but is the step-mother to a nine-year old girl. Her husband's business is not making enough money to sustain the family. Anna therefore has been doing domestic work to supplement her husband's income. This, however, is also proving difficult. She is 53 and is not able to do chores as she used to. Not one to give up, she joined a self-help group that has been contributing toward the betterment of its members and the community at large.

Through this group she has managed to secure a small parcel of land and has already started farming. She is requesting a Kiva loan to buy seedlings, fertilizer and pesticide as well as to install irrigation pipes to sufficiently provide water for her crops.

Anna hopes this loan will help her start a stable business and improve her family's livelihood.
